The Beddow College Preparatory School is a private, co-ed, non-sectarian school for students from grades seven through twelve which meets county and state requirements for a private school and holds a Certificate of Approval from the Maryland State Board of Education.
Our skilled, qualified faculty offers a broad array of courses to meet the needs of our student body. Students will develop the ability to organize and prioritize assignments and undertake research projects. They are expected to dedicate at least one half hour per subject, per day, to study at home. Independent reading is encouraged. Students also participate in physical education, fundraising for class activities, and community service projects. Class trips (domestic and abroad) and academic competitions provide an opportunity for exploration beyond the confines of the classroom. Class hours are from 8:30 a.m. to 3:00 p.m., Monday through Friday. The School does not discriminate on the basis of race, color, or sexual or national origin.
